This project involved designing a five-story extension for an existing university building. The existing structure, a simple modular brick building with blue ceramics, provided the foundation with pre-built ceilings and columns.
The main challenges were harmonizing the new building with the existing one while making it more engaging with two vertical city center towers in the background.

Balance harmony with the existing architecture while enhancing visual interest.
Two vertical city center towers and a large shopping mall conflicted with the building's horizontal orientation.
Left side features a rooftop garden. The rooftop design includes greenery, with the facade extending upward to create a unified exterior while maintaining visual connectivity with the rooftop garden.
To balance the horizontal stretch of the new structure, vertical lines were introduced in the facade using brick, blue ceramics, and modular patterns. Special attention was given to the connection points between the new and existing buildings.
Careful design of connection areas between the new extension and the existing university complex.
