In an area where building heights are limited to 5 meters, this villa redefines spatial possibilities. By partially embedding the structure into the ground, it achieves a two-story design with high ceilings and diverse interior experiences. A master bedroom with a balcony overlooks the garden, while a geometric break in the form ensures privacy for the porch and swimming pool, creating a private outdoor retreat.
These design adjustments, including carefully placed breaks in both the floor plan and overall form, have shaped the villa’s entrance, circulation flow, and a tranquil living space adjacent to the pool.
As shown in the diagram, site restrictions positioned the villa in a way that allowed a direct view from the neighbor's staircase into the open-air sitting area (porch). To address this, the villa’s zones were carefully arranged—shifting the private areas slightly forward with a solid side facade, ensuring privacy while simultaneously creating a sheltered and intimate space for the porch.
The design introduces varied interior spaces, enhancing the living experience beyond the typical high-ceilinged single-story homes in the region.
Due to the 5-meter height limit, most buildings in the area are single-story and repetitive. This villa challenges that norm by partially embedding the structure, allowing for two floors with generous ceiling heights.
The master bedroom on the upper floor opens to a balcony with a view of the garden, offering both privacy and a strong connection to the outdoors.
A geometric break in the villa’s form ensures the porch and swimming pool remain secluded from the neighboring property, creating a serene and private outdoor space.
