Given strict constraints—fixed floor plans and ceiling slabs—the challenge was to create a facade that felt open, bright, and engaging. By recessing living room windows, integrating greenery, and carefully sizing openings based on the spaces behind them, the design balances functionality with aesthetics. White shades control light and heat, while terraces and vertical planting soften the building’s presence, making it more inviting. The result is a dynamic, well-proportioned facade that enhances both the exterior identity and the living experience within.
The size and proportions of the openings were designed according to the rooms behind them. Larger living rooms and flats have bigger windows for better light, ventilation, and views, while bedrooms and kitchens feature smaller, more private openings. This approach ensures comfort while responding to the site’s warm climate.
The project came with fixed floor plans and ceiling slabs that couldn’t be altered. Despite these constraints, the client wanted a facade that felt bright and lively—not dull or heavy. By pulling back the living room windows, we created space for greenery, enhancing both the facade’s vibrancy and the apartments’ connection to nature.
White shades help control sunlight and reduce heat gain, especially in kitchen areas where comfort was crucial. These elements balance brightness with thermal efficiency, keeping interiors cool without sacrificing natural light.
Terraces, vertical plantings, and a mix of stone and shades break the facade’s mass, adding depth and warmth. These touches avoid flatness and bring both visual interest and outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy.
To highlight the entrance next to the parking door, we created a spacious, inviting area using warm wooden textures that naturally draw attention. The wood cladding seamlessly connects to the building's overall material palette—white brick, black metal details, and balcony elements—ensuring visual harmony. The recessed entry with layered lighting enhances depth and warmth, creating a welcoming transition for visitors while clearly distinguishing the main entrance from the parking area.
